In 1985, I entered the PLA Post-graduate medical school at General Hospital of PLA. This is a major teaching hospital with over 1500 beds and one of the top hospitals in China. It takes care of the top-level central government officials and as well as difficult patients countrywide. There I underwent haematology specialist training and further internal medicine training for the other 3 years. During this period I participated in some cases of bone marrow transplants. I performed a large numbers of bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, lumbar puncture and intrathecal injections. In 1988 I was granted the Master’s Degree in Medicine and qualified as a Haematologist.
In my PhD candidate post at the national University of Singapore (NUS), I conducted a double blind placebo controlled clinical trial using melatonin in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) for 3 years. I obtained PhD degree in Pharmacology in 2002.

After obtained my PhD degree I worked as a medical officer in the Dept. of General Medicine, which includes all of the sub-specialities of internal medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (Public). This is the second largest and busiest hospital in Singapore. I had obtained more clinical skills e.g. ascites tap , Pleural fluid tap and pleural biopsy.

In 2004 followed my Australian Husband my family moved to here in Australia. I passed Australian Medical Council exams in 2007. Since 2008 I had worked in the Lithgow General Medical Practice as a GP Registrar and had 4 years training of family medicine. In 2014 I passed the fellowship exams of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In the last 2 years and 10 months I have worked in Balance Springwood Family Practice which makes me familiar with lower Blue Mountain culture and diseases and better serving the Blue Mountain people.

I actively study new developments in family medicine since I have been doing GP work. I have attended a number of workshops: Skin cancer workshop, dermoscope workshop, Family planning workshop, Prolotherapy workshop, wound management workshop, diabetes and insulin workshop , Asthma and spirometory workshop, Cognitive behaviour therapy workshop, Cosmetic medicine workshop, diabetes Summit, skin cancer summit…… In the last triennium I had obtained 589 CPD points ( requirement is 150 points) of RACGP
